UGC Guidelines For 2020 - 21
Due to Global Pandemic of Corona Virus Outbreak whole Education system of country got Disturbed . To facilitate the academic processes further for the on-going and for the next academic year, the University Grants Commission has released a detailed set of guidelines regarding the Admission and Examinations.
UGC Guidelines For Session 2020 – 21 & 2021 – 22 are :-
As per Ugc Guidelines The exams for terminal semester or Yearly students will be going to held in the month of July . Terminal Examination means those students who are in the Last year or Last semester of his / her UG & PG Course .
Universities may adopt efficient and innovative view of examinations by reducing the time of examination from 3 hours to 2 hours and they may conduct the exams in offline or online mode, as per their ordinances or facilities , rules and regulations .
Conduct Of Examinations :-
Terminal Examinations :- 1 July 2020 – 15 July 2020
Intermediate students :- They will be graded / promoted to the next semester based on their internal assessment of the present and previous semester. In thestates where the COVID-19 situation has normalised, there will be exams in the month of July.
Conduct Of Examination :-
16 July 2020 – 31st July 2020 ( Where It is Possible to Conduct Examinations)
As per guidelines the new academic session for existing / old students will going to commence from 1st August and for new students it going to start from 1st September . The New Admission process for the academic year 2020-21 will going to be start from August 1 to August 30.
Admission Process :- 01.08.2020 to 31.08.2020
- Commencement of Classes
- For Students of 2nd/ 3rd year will start from 1st August 2020
- Fresh batch for First Year Students will start from 1st September 2020
- Conduct of Odd Semester Examination :- 1 January 2021 – 25 January 2021
- Commencement of Classes for Even Semester will Begin from 27 January 2021
- Dispersal of Classes :- 25.05.2021
- Conduct of Even Semester Examinations :- Will begin from 26 May 2021 – 25 June 2021
- Summer Vacations will begin from 1 July 2021 – 31st July 2021
- Commencement of Next Academic Session 02.08.2021
- Period of lockdown will going to be treated as ‘deemed to be attended’ by all the students or research scholars.
- An extension will be procided for the period of six months will be allowed to the M.Phil. or Ph.D. students and the guides that universities may conduct the Ph.D. and M. Phil. Viva -Voce examinations through video conferencing using Google, Skype, Microsoft Technologies or through any other reliable and mutually convenient technology if possible.
